Go Local: The Lovell Arts & Artisans Fair is Back!

As a long-time supporter of local artisans, I’m thrilled to share the news that the Lovell Arts & Artisans Fair is returning for its 49th year! This beloved event is a staple of our community, showcasing the incredible talents of 45 local artisans who create everything from oil paintings to hand-thrown pottery.

A Celebration of Local Talent

The fair will take place on Saturday, August 17th, from 9 am to 3 pm at the New Suncook School, 95 Main St. Admission is free, and all proceeds will benefit the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library.

What to Expect

The exhibit will feature an impressive array of local artisans, each showcasing their unique talents. You’ll have the opportunity to browse and purchase:

• Oil paintings and watercolor landscapes
• Hand-thrown pottery and hand-blown glass vases
• Jewelry, wooden household items, and photography
• Fiber arts, hand-knit items, and wearable art T-shirts and hats
• Wood-turned bowls and vases, handmade handbags, and artistic notecards
• Felted sculpture, boiled wool clothing, and antique China tiered serving trays
• Fine art prints and more!

Entertainment and Refreshments

Throughout the day, you’ll be treated to musical entertainment, and you can indulge in homemade pies, grilled food, and sandwiches.

Support Local Artisans

To make the event even more exciting, a raffle with 15 items will be on display. Tickets cost $1 for one or $5 for six, and you can purchase them in advance at the Charlotte Hobbs Library or at the fair.
