Benson Sculpture Garden gets a decorative gate
In Loveland, Colorado, the Benson Sculpture Garden has received a beautiful hand-forged iron gate titled Sanctuary: A Place Set Apart. This stunning piece of art was created by Black Birch Studio and Makely Metal Art, with the help of their families. The gate is a masterpiece of traditional blacksmithing techniques, using hammers, tongs, anvil, and forge.

The High Plains Arts Council donated this magnificent gate to the city, along with four other new sculptures. These new additions will be installed on Saturday, and a dedication ceremony will take place on July 29.
Amazing Grace by Shari Vines
Among the new sculptures is Amazing Grace by Shari Vines of Loveland, depicting a large bird unfurling its wings. Another piece, Sunset by Adam Schultz of Loveland, features a soaring eagle. Four Generations by Felicia, an artist based in Edwards, showcases Native American women, while Roundbottomus Hippopotamus by Tom Cherry of Branson, Mo., is a bronze hippo that appears half submerged.
Peacock decorations
In other news, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two women who stole peacock decorations from a house in Palm Coast. The women were caught on surveillance footage, and the stolen items were recovered undamaged. The sheriff’s office is urging anyone with information to come forward.
